George Weasley
Who even was Richard of York? Like there's only been one person called Richard from York.

Valentine's Day: Love Potions, chocolate with aphrodisiac in, 'special' flowers. What have I missed? I don't think I'm romantic enough to think of ideas for Valentine's Day products.

I am looking particularly at you for this, Veritilicious, as the most romantic of my mischief-makers. Hypothetically, if I were to get you a Valentine's Day gift, what would you like?

Well, that depends. In this hypothetical situation are you my friend or my boyfriend? Ummm....
13th-Feb-2008 05:43 pm (UTC) - Private to Verity
Hmm. I think I'm primarily looking at a romantic market, but if you can think of anything friends might buy for each other, that would work too.

Well, I think it would be good to think outside the usual flowers and chocolates. I mean, those things are nice, but they're so over done (even in some brilliantly redefined Weasley twin way), that a girl might almost feel like you hadn't put much thought into it.

What about something to help me relax from all my NEWT stress? Remember that love potion Katie was talking about, that smells like the things you love? Do you think you could make a line a bath products that do that? Like bubble bath or bath salts. Because then I could go take a nice relaxing bath, and the smell would make me think about you. Right?

That being said, there should still be chocolate. I've changed my mind. And this whole conversation is a bit... odd.
13th-Feb-2008 08:36 pm (UTC) - Verity
You mean people put thought into Valentine's Day gifts? And they still come up with teddy bears that say 'I wuv you.' I think that gives a good indication of the brainpower of the average wizard.

That's a good idea. Baths are good for pampering and romance, but not overdone. Thanks. Why woul Aww, you love me, little Ravenclaw? I don't imagine you love my smell, though. I smell of boy.

Then chocolate there will be.
13th-Feb-2008 08:54 pm (UTC) - George
No, I don't think they do put thought into it. They just go with the normal drivel, because that's what everyone does. I don't know.

I...uh, what? I mean. I... what? In this hypothetical situation where you're my boyfriend, of course I love you! You're the best boyfriend in the world, you make me laugh, and plot mischief with me, and give great hugs. .... All those things are... gah No. You smell like George.

13th-Feb-2008 09:03 pm (UTC) - Verity
Isn't George a boy?
13th-Feb-2008 09:11 pm (UTC) - George
Well, yes. George is. But you don't smell like just any boy. You smell like... George. Why do I... ? Valentine's Day has made me lose my head, I swear.

What would you smell if you used the bubble bath? Just out of curiosity.
13th-Feb-2008 09:13 pm (UTC) - Verity
I should bottle it. Eau d'George.
13th-Feb-2008 09:18 pm (UTC) - George
You could try. But I don't think it would work on anyone else.

Do all girls smell the same? of girl?
13th-Feb-2008 09:50 pm (UTC) - Verity
Then I will bottle it and sell it all to you, my adoring hypothetical girlfriend.

No, girls smell of lots of different things. But boys all smell of sweat and dirt - and soap if you're lucky.
13th-Feb-2008 10:02 pm (UTC) - George
But, if I'm your hypothetical girlfriend, then I can just smell you whenever I'm with you. So I wouldn't need to buy the bottled stuff.

What do I smell of? What kinds of different things?
13th-Feb-2008 10:06 pm (UTC) - Verity
Ah, but what about those long lonesome minutes when I am not there?

It depends on the girl. Flowers or sweets sometimes, most often perfume of some kind though. Musk or floral or fruit or earthy or whatever they want to smell of.
13th-Feb-2008 10:21 pm (UTC) - George
Perhaps I've decided to never let you go away ever again. Now that I've found a hypothetical boyfriend like you, I'd be a fool to let you out of my sight.

Oh. That makes sense. What do I smell of?
13th-Feb-2008 10:36 pm (UTC) - Verity
Or out of your smell, at least.
13th-Feb-2008 02:18 pm (UTC)
Why was I even thinking I could count on you and Fred not to be lemmings?
13th-Feb-2008 05:46 pm (UTC)
Because you forgot the call of the shiny galleons? It's a lucrative market.
15th-Feb-2008 02:42 am (UTC)
It is a lucrative market. People are so dumb.
15th-Feb-2008 05:30 pm (UTC)
Dumb and dying to give us their money.
15th-Feb-2008 02:38 am (UTC)
Valentine's Day is a load of shite.
15th-Feb-2008 05:32 pm (UTC)
I take it you and Fred are off at the moment. Oh, but it's kind of amusing.
